The Peacebuilding Portal is a gateway for valuable information for the critical thematic areas within conflict management and peacebuilding. In fulfilment of the UN's commitment to integrate the issue of education within the realm of conflict management and peacebuilding into its work, and in the spirit of UN agency and family teamwork, the Portal, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) offers information on NGOs working on the issue of education in peacebuilding.

The website is structured to fully incorporate data related to education in conflict management and peacebuilding. It's hoped that this information will be useful to those in government, civil society, local, national, regional and international organizations in their efforts to support dialogue on the education theme within peacebuilding processes.
